Dump Truck and Trailer Liners in Demand: UHMWPE Makes Wet, Sticky Loads Discharge Cleanly
Leftover material and wall-sticking have long been pain points when hauling wet coal, clay, grain and other sticky loads. Lining dump trucks, trailers and hoppers with UHMWPE sheets is fast becoming mainstream practice. Because UHMWPE has a very low coefficient of friction and absorbs virtually no water, even moisture-heavy grain, coal slurry or soil slides out cleanly and completely — no residue, no hanging — shortening unloading cycles, cutting trips and fuel use. The sheets also resist acids, alkalis and corrosion, protecting the metal bodywork, and their light weight and easy installation mean one investment pays across many operating cycles. Haulage firms report noticeably more unloading turns per truck per day, with lower cargo loss and less labor spent cleaning buckets.
